Stuart Herd was described as 'great man' and a 'true scot' by heartbroken pals following his sudden death.
A Scottish artist has been found dead while on holiday. The body of Stuart Herd was discovered in a caravan in France, where he was understood to be following the Rugby World Cup.
It read: "Due to tragic and unforeseen circumstances the Harbour Gallery website and The Harbour Galleries Tarbert, Ullapool and Inveraray will be stopping orders from this point onwards and until further notice. Pal Albert White paid tribute to his friend following on social media his sudden death. He wrote on Facebook: "With deep sadness, one of our forum members and large part of the rugby family Stuart Herd passed away while on tour for the RWC in France.
