We want to know if you agree with the rail strikes 👇
Train services were reduced to just five lines on Wednesday as walkouts went ahead. RMT employees are striking over pay, job security and working conditions, according to general secretary Mick Lynch. While ScotRail employees are not involved in the strikes, safety-critical signallers and maintenance crews who work for Network Rail Scotland will be involved, impacting normal services.
One reader questioned why the workers don't look for a new job: "Instead of complaining and repeatedly asking like a child with no discipline, I got a new job elsewhere." Others argued that the strikes are not just about pay: "You have no clue what you're even bleating on about here." But what do you think? Do you agree with the rail strikes? Do you think they are justified? If you'd like to share your opinion, drop it in the comments and we'll highlight the best ones.
