A fresh yellow weather warning for wind has been issued for Thursday morning.
Scots are in for a dreich few days weather wise and some major disruption to travel as the Met Office has issued another yellow alert across the country.
The warning is in place across the country, taking in Central, Tayside and Fife regions, as well as the south west of Scotland, the Borders and regions across the Central belt and Strathclyde. Drivers are advised to check road conditions before heading out and people are being urged to check public transport schedules before embarking on any journey.
Forecasters anticipate some bus and train services will be affected, with journeys taking longer. Some short term loss of power and other services is possible. Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges are likely. As much as 75-100 mm is expected through today and tomorrow in some places, with Argyll and west Highland regions most affected by the spring tides. with the main downpour is expected to last 24 hours. Affected areas can also expect gusts of up to 60mph, which could result in dangerous coastal conditions.
