Parts across the Scottish Highlands will see the best of the weather on Wednesday, which comes as storms across Europe continue to wreak havoc.
Scots will want to get the suncream at the ready as parts of the country are to bask in heatwave temperatures, before grim conditions hit next week.
BBC Scotland meteorologist Joy Dunlop stated: "Plenty of sunshine across the country with some coastal fog developing in the borders. Feeling warm in the sun, with temperatures peaking 23C, 24C and even 25C, with light east and southerly winds. It will be a chilly night in some places as temperatures are expected to drop to below 10C. Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Dumfries will have a cool night at 7C with slightly warmer temperatures north of the central belt at 9C in the Highlands.
