Mikkey Dee, the drummer for both Scorpions and Motorhead, has recovered from a severe case of sepsis after being hospitalized for three weeks and undergoing multiple surgeries. Dee revealed the health scare on his Facebook page, thanking the medical staff at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg for their excellent care. He assures fans that he is fully recovered and will be back on stage for the Scorpions' Las Vegas residency in February.

Dee is now back home and on the mend.

“The ankle swelled up like hell, then it took on a weird shape and appearance and looked like an overcooked ham, said Dee with a. “I became very ill, so I had to go by ambulance to Sahlgrenska, and there they found that I had sky-high values, so I became priority one there.” Dee thanked the nurses and doctors for giving him “the most excellent care” and noted he is “100 percent to be back on the drum stool” for the Scorpions Las Vegas residency in February for the band’s 60th anniversary.
