Scores missing after boat off Greek's coast sinks

One person has died and dozens are feared missing after a boat carrying migrants and refugees sank off the Greek island of Folegandros, authorities say

Greece is one of the most popular routes into the European Union for people fleeing conflict and poverty.

The body of the unidentified man was recovered during an ongoing search and rescue operation launched early on Wednesday after the boat sank some 180 kilometres southeast of Athens. Most survivors said there were originally 32 people on the boat, but one told authorities there were about 50.
