“Scooby-Doo Meets the Universal Monsters: Mystery on the Backlot” is an interactive attraction that will be part of Universal Fan Fest Nights, taking place on select nights April 23-May 16 at Universal Studios Hollywood.

The series of after-hours events, now in its second year, will also feature experiences tied to Harry Potter, Nintendo, Dungeons & Dragons and various Japanese manga franchises on select nights from April 23 through May 16.In “Scooby-Doo Meets the Universal Monsters: Mystery on the Backlot,” guests will help Scooby, Fred, Daphne, Velma and Shaggy uncover a series of clues that will reveal the identity of The Phantom Director and get the production back on track, according to the attraction’s backstory. While all that is going on, visitors will be able to check out Universal’s outdoor film sets, such as the cobblestone streets of Little Europe and the Court of Miracles, which were used as locations for such iconic horror films as “Frankenstein” in 1931 and “The Wolf Man” in 1941.” is set on the mysterious outpost of Midori Island and follows the efforts of Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat Crew to find Pop Greens, a powerful resource on the island. Complications ensue when the Marines invade the island, resulting in battle sequences with lots of pyrotechnics.In this Japanese language film, Super Sailor Moon must battle a foe who is out to get the Legendary Silver Crystal from Moon Palace’s enchanting hall. The movie will be shown with subtitles.In this immersive experience, returning from last year, visitors join the Harpers spy network to try to thwart a plot by Xanathar the Beholder.“Super Nintendo World — Colorful Yoshi Celebration”: Guests will be welcomed to explore Super Nintendo World, where they will have a chance to take selfies with colorful Yoshis.
