Now, New York Senator Chuck Schumer is pushing legislation to allow local authorities to use new technology to better combat these drones."We're here today because it's not a bird, it's not a plane, it's a drone," Schumer said.Reports of these sightings have grown over the last few weeks, although according to local police departments reports in our area are low.

Federal officials say the reported drone sightings do not pose a threat to National Security or public safety or have a foreign origin.
