Geoff Barton, general secretary of the Association of School and College Leaders agrees that the idea of things being completely back to normal for the new school term in September is unrealistic.'This will have to be about managing expectations, because frankly, it’s not going to be business as usual from the first of September.'This is going to be a kind of blended approach.
'There's a temptation to think we are in a kind of home learning now and hopefully all back in September. Sadly we may end up with considerable disruption to school in September, October and November.'
