Scared of the Dark's Max George opens up about loss of bandmate Tom Parker
As the group tackled their fourth day in complete darkness, Max began to open up about his struggles with fame and the impact Tom's death had on him.
"He had glioblastoma, which is an incurable brain cancer, but it was at Stage 4 when they found it," Max began. His voice breaking with emotion, Max revealed that he first learnt about the diagnosis after Tom's wife Kelsey contacted him.star Donna Preston reveals personal connection to show"One of the last things I said to him was — I thanked him for making my life so much better than what it ever could have been, you know, like that whole journey through being in the band.
The revelation left Max feeling emotionally vulnerable and he questioned whether or not he was ready to leave the process. Max opened up to Paul 'Gazza' Gascoigne about his feelings the next day, with the former footballer praising Max for feeling comfortable enough to open up.
