The rear windscreen has been removed to create a more race car-like aesthetic, replaced with slats reminiscent of the transparent engine cover of the Ferrari F40 and new F8 Tributo. Inside, Ferrari aficionados will notice the blue seats as a nod towards those fitted to Sixties racers like the legendary 250 GTO. A further link to the GTO is the hammered paint finish on the interior door handles and central bridge. Metal elements of the steering wheel and dashboard feature crackled paint as a further hint toward Ferrari’s back catalogue.Ferrari
Despite recently being tested at the company’s Fiorano circuit, Ferrari has not stated the Omologata’s performance. For reference, the 812 Superfast’s 6.5-liter V12 produces 789bhp, making for a 0-60mph time of 2.9 seconds. The car’s cost is also a secret, but it has previously been reported that working with Ferrari to create a one-off costs in excess of $4m.
Ferrari said of the car: “The latest offering in Ferrari’s line of unique coach-built one-off models is a vibrant evocation of the values that define Ferrari in relation to GT racing. A car that is equally at ease on the road as it is hitting the apex on the track in the hands of a true gentleman driver.”
