After you tried to find alternative insurance with other firms, you found some of the quotes were now as high as £7,000 – a huge amount – and much higher than the £1,044 you were charged previously.
Eventually, on the same day, your sponsor found an insurer that would accept you for £2,545 a year – over double what you paid before but still much lower than £7,000. However, your car engine blew up the next day and you had to get a second hand Vauxhall to replace it. This also required a new insurance policy with the cheapest now coming out at £2,985, an offer you accepted in order to use your car.
