Abeer, a 28-year-old woman living in the north of Saudi Arabia, told ELLE.com that she"always had this fear about who my dad would leave me behind to. I was always scared of finding myself one day in another man's possession that I don't trust. What if it was my brother or a cousin I don't know? Now I am my own guardian."
