Saudi Arabia announces its support for an independent Palestinian state along the 1967 borders, with occupied East Jerusalem as its capital

Saudi Arabia has declared that it backs all efforts aimed at achieving a just and comprehensive settlement to the Palestinian cause and supports an independent Palestinian state along the 1967 border with occupied East Jerusalem as its capital. Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud on Wednesday said on Twitter that the kingdom supports political solutions in Syria, Libya and Sudan.: تؤكد المملكة على وقوفها إلى جانب الشعب الفلسطيني، ودعم جميع الجهود الرامية إلى الوصول لحل عادل وشامل للقضية الفلسطينية بما يمكن الشعب الفلسطيني من إقامة دولته المستقلة على حدود عام 1967م، وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية، وفق قرارات الشرعية الدولية ومبادرة السلام العربية.
