Satechi announced the new SM3 Slim Mechanical Backlit Bluetooth Keyboard at CES 2025. This full-size mechanical keyboard has four-device connectivity, backlit keys, and cross-platform compatibility. It works with Mac, Windows, iOS, iPadOS, and Chrome OS systems. The SM3 shares features with the SM1 Slim Mechanical Backlit Bluetooth Keyboard , like a rechargeable battery, low-profile brown switches, four-device connectivity, and 14 backlit patterns.
The main difference is the SM3's full 108-key layout with a numeric keypad, compared to the SM1's 75% layout. The SM3 has a slim, ergonomic design, a sleek aluminum enclosure, removable keycaps, and adjustable feet for comfort and efficiency. Satechi says the full numeric keypad makes it perfect for business and office professionals, programmers, and those who need a lot of numerical input. It comes in Light and Dark colors with three brightness levels and four LED speeds. The SM3 can connect to up to four devices and lets users switch between them instantly. It has dual Bluetooth 5.0 channels, a 2.4 GHz USB receiver, and a wired connection for versatility. Satechi says the SM3 is also good for gaming because it's designed to 'strike the perfect balance between typing and gaming.' It uses low-profile brown switches with shorter travel distances for less finger fatigue and a comfortable typing experience. The quieter operation is good for offices or shared spaces
