Thousands of beneficiaries went to over-crowded places on Monday only to leave empty-handed.
“This is not right. People are going to die here. This is very unfair and we are very cross with our government. It makes us think that things are bad. What will happen is that we will die here before the coronavirus kills us. Bye-bye,” said grant recipient, Zodwa Zikalala.“We apologise to those beneficiaries who’ve spent money who took their time out of their busy schedules at home to receive their payments but unfortunately when they got there, some of them they didn’t receive that money.
