RAD Cards and Collectibles provides in-house custom framing for all kinds of items, as well as offering many popular collectibles like cards. yxe

Q: You custom frame many different types of items?Tons of people bring in their jerseys and there’s different layouts that we do in house. You can bring in anything and everything you can think of — wedding pictures, graduation certificates, all kinds of items — and, for the most part, we can put into a frame.

Custom jersey framing is probably our biggest thing. We do a ton of custom jerseys. Our most popular look is a jersey with a photo and 8 cards. That’s something that I designed, and I’m also the only one that I know of that pins the jersey down the way we do it. The way that we do the framing helps us stand out. We bring our jerseys to the front, so everything is pinned up close to the glass. It is pushed right up to you, and jumps out. Everything else I’ve ever seen is on the backboard.

The thickness you can use for framing items is anything below about 1-3/4 inches, approximately. Hockey pucks fit, no problem. And we put everything together in the back of our store in a workshop. We’ve got a huge selection of board games, and the Funko pop figures. From our understanding, we’ve got the largest collection ofproducts and singles in the city. We’ve got hockey, baseball, and basketball trading cards; most of the different Marvel products that are out there; and Yu-Gi-Oh! cards.

We’ve got giftware, including licensed stuffed animals with a jersey or embroidered logo on them somewhere. You can get NFL, NHL, and CFL — including the Saskatchewan Roughriders. There’s even Rider toothbrushes. We also have barbecue spatulas and tongs, pins, lanyards, flags, cutting boards and a pizza cutter. And then your standard items like key chains, hockey pins, decals, drawstring bags, and signs with logos on them.

We have a huge selection of supplies for trading cards as well — card holders, top loaders, boxes, sleeves, one touches. We’ve even got holders for pennants and things like that.We have started to get into submitting cards for PSA grading. People can bring in their cards and get them graded by a company in California. They’re a very reputable company, but it’s expensive to submit cards to them. If people bring cards here we will submit them in a shared freight program to get stuff there cheaper.
