Saskatoon Blades are back on the ice for training camp and the 2023 Kirkness Cup with games Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

“There’s going to be a few but I’m not going into camp with that kind of mindset,” offered Sonne. “It’s more like ‘Let’s just see this play out.’ Let’s get everybody back, new faces and old. And let’s see how this plays out. It gets clearer. I’m not going to live too far in the future.”

“I just want the guys to come in and be their best selves, and show who they are, what they are. And, really, just get back into the rhythm a little bit, get back with the teammates, get back into the rink and get back into the rhythm and out of summer mode.”to the Everett Silvertips for a second-round pick in 2023 and a fourth-rounder in 2025.
