Saskatchewan Roughriders defensive end Pete Robertson had a league\u002Dhigh five sacks entering Week 4 of the 2022 CFL season.
. The 29-year-old defensive end registered two sacks, fattening his league-leading total to five.
Robertson has helped the Roughriders amass a league-high 15 sacks over their first three games, including back-to-back victories that preceded the meltdown in Montreal. Saskatchewan’s defensive performance was hardly robust, considering the standards that had been established in Weeks 1 and 2, but neither was it the primary reason for the team’s first defeat of the young season.
Those quick strikes excepted, the Roughriders’ defence allowed just 4.1 yards per play — providing the type of resistance for which it has been noted since the outset of the season.
