The loss drops sask_rattlers to a 2-5 record. They next play Sea Bears (5-2) in Winnipeg on June 23. CEBL
Saskatchewan was able to keep the score relatively close for the majority of the fourth quarter, but Vancouver slowly increased their lead so when the target score was set with 1:15 remaining in the game, the hosts led 83-78.
Still, the Rattlers were able to stay on the tail of the Bandits, including pulling within two points of Vancouver and three points of the target score with a three-pointer from Nuga to make the score 91-89. Unfortunately, Saskatchewan wasn’t able to capitalize on a turnover by Vancouver on the ensuing play and ended up sending Bandits’ centre Nick Ward to the free-throw line the next time they were in the key. Ward hit his first free throw to seal the victory for the Bandits.
In his return to action after a two-game absence, Justin Wright-Foreman led the Rattlers with 33 points, while Ward picked up a team-high 22 points for the Bandits.Article content The loss drops Saskatchewan to a 2-5 record.
