The Progressive Conservative Party of Saskatchewan says it\u0027s missing a computer with phone numbers and email addresses of members.
In a release, the PCs says “a Dell desktop computer which contains hundreds of names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses of former and current members” had been taken from the party. What’s more, there is financial information “relating to past donors and donor lists that was developed by the PC Party between 2007 and 2018” contained within the computer. The party claims the information has been used to solicit donations by the SUP.
It goes on to say, “Let’s work together to save SK from the liberal influencers inside of the SK Party.”In addition to this conflict, there has been much legal fighting over a PC-controlled trust fund that sits in the neighbourhood of $2 million right now. In the late 2000s the PC Party and the Saskatchewan Party went to court over the money. In 2014 the PCs won, and continue to retain control of the money.
Buscholl said “people realized what these people were up to, that they were trying to take the party over” and Gooshen was removed. “They were after the name,” she said. At the start of April the party held its annual general meeting and selected a new party president in Alan Evans, with Kurt Schmidt elected as 1st vice-president and Wes Taylor as treasurer, according to a press release.
