Football Insider has learned that Norwich City striker Josh Sargent is keen to complete a reunion with Daniel Farke at Leeds United.
And though the Norfolk side are reluctant to lose Sargent, it is believed it would not take a huge fee to land the forward.
Leeds have drawn up a striker shortlist with Patrick Bamford still injured and last season’s top scorer Rodrigo Moreno leaving for Qatar. Farke, who was appointed at Elland Road earlier this summer, is well-versed in Sargent’s talents after their time together at Norwich.£8million for his services in August 2021.Sargent is already off the mark for the 2023-24 campaign after scoring in Norwich’s 4-4 away draw at Southampton last week .
He also managed 13 goals and two assists in 40 league games last season, but the Canaries struggled to impose themselves on the promotion race. The United States international has proved a versatile option for club and country – leading the line as well as playing on both flanks regularly.Leeds have picked up just two points from their opening three Championship games after relegation from the Premier League last season.
