KUCHING: The Saratok PKR division has been automatically dissolved after more than two-thirds of its committee members, led by permanent chairman Antok Jaya, quit en masse from the party.
Twenty-five of the branch's 29 committee members submitted their resignation letters on Monday in Saratok, where they met the branch's former chairman Ali Biju.
"We have lost confidence in the party's leadership. We feel that the party has lost its direction and is only to fulfil the personal ambition of the president to become prime minister. As grassroots members, they said, they had observed how the internal strife in the party had led to chaos.
