According to Saraland Police Chief J.C. West, officers heard shots fired on the interstate around 9 p.m., then saw a red Dodge Charger speeding along the highway. They tried to pull the car over, but the driver didn’t stop, he said. Saraland officers chased the car until it stopped outside the University Hospital emergency room in Mobile. That’s when officers determined someone inside the car had been shot, according to authorities.
