Nixon starred as attorney Miranda Hobbes, while Davis ended up playing Charlotte York, while both of whom have reprised their role for the spinoff show, “And Just Like That…”this week that she was asked to read for Parker’s character as they weren’t sure if the actress would end up doing it. She explained that Parker’s character, Carrie, was described as having “the body of Heather Locklear and the mind of Dorothy Parker.”According to a recent interview, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon both auditioned for the role of Carrie Bradshaw on “Sex and the City.”Davis read for Sarah Jessica Parker’s character when it was unclear if the actress would take on the role.
The show, which chronicled the lives of four women living in New York City, also featured Kim Cattrall, who played sultry publicist Samantha Jones.The series ran from 1998 to 2004, spanning for six seasons on HBO.And Just Like That…,”The first episode aired in December 2021 on Max, formerly known as HBO Max, and the second season is slated for June 22.The HBO show aired from 1998 to 2004.
