A 10-year-old girl who was found dead in Surrey was known to the authorities, the county council has confirmed.on 10 August after a 999 call from Pakistan by a man identifying himself as Sara’s father, Urfan Sharif.
They are believed to have travelled to Pakistan capital Islamabad on 9 August, the day before Sara’s body was found, with five children aged between one and 13 years old. “This is an incredibly sad situation, and our thoughts and deepest condolences are with everyone affected,” he said. On Saturday, the Associated Press news agency reported that Pakistani police in the eastern province of Punjab are seeking to arrest Mr Sharif in connection to Sara’s death.Mr Sharif’s family home is reportedly in Jhelum, Punjab, about 84 miles from the capital.
