According to the Tredyffrin Township Police Department, officers responded to reports of a burglary in progress shortly after 5 AM EST. Upon arrival, the intruders had already fled the premises. Authorities suspect at least two individuals were involved in the home invasion and have released surveillance imagery of a white SUV believed to have been used during the incident. Captain Tyler Moyer confirmed that at least one suspect entered the home while the Barkley family was present.
"They were home, and fortunately, as you know, with any situation like this, our main concern is that the residents of that home at the time were unharmed, which they were. They were fine afterward, obviously unsettled as anyone would be," Moyer stated. The investigation has expanded regionally, with detectives from the Chester County District Attorney's Office assisting the Tredyffrin Township Police.
The District Attorney's Office expressed gratitude that the family was not injured and appealed to the public for assistance, urging anyone with home security footage of suspicious activity around 5:00 a.m. in the area to come forward. This incident underscores a recurring pattern of burglaries targeting high-profile athletes.
