”Well, now Barkley and Shipley have bragging rights on the line. Penn State and Clemson will face off in the Pinstripe Bowl on Dec. 27 at Yankee Stadium. And when the Lions and Tigers meet on the diamond, a friendly wager will be playing out between Barkley and Shipley. “We just talked about it today,” Shipley told PennLive on Wednesday, wearing an orange Clemson long-sleeve. “We’re excited about it.” If interim head coach Terry Smith and Penn State beat Dabo Swinney and the Tigers, Barkley is going to bring in one of his old Penn State jerseys for Shipley to wear.“I don’t have any of my Clemson jerseys here,” Shipley said. “But I’m going to have him in some Clemson gear, decked out in all orange. Barkley and Shipley won’t attend the Pinstripe Bowl, but they’ll be in the same state when it happens. The Eagles face the Buffalo Bills the day after at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, N.Y. Shipley said he hopes to be at the team hotel in time to watch the game. Shipley doesn’t know if he’s going to watch the game with Barkley. But he does know both teams will look a little different when they take the field at Yankee Stadium.A few Clemson stars have declared for the 2026 NFL draft after a 7-5 season. Their statuses for the game are up in the air. “I know both squads are going to be missing some guys.
