San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) released bodycam video footage of a Christmas Eve shooting incident where 19-year-old Damion Tremayne Holmes was fatally shot by Detective Christopher Zygmont. The incident occurred after Holmes, who was wanted for violent felony warrants, led police on a foot pursuit. The video shows Holmes pointing his gun at the detective before being shot.

After the individuals left the H-E-B and walked back to the suspected stolen vehicle, officers attempted to apprehend the suspects, but they both fled on foot, SAPD said. Later in the video, Holmes' gun was seen pointed in the detective’s direction as he began falling to the ground.SAPD said the detective who fired their weapon has been identified as Christopher Zygmont, who has 22 years of service with the department.
