In conversations with police after the incident, Castro stated Seybert’s Honda “came under him” from the right side of his vehicle.
The trial began Wednesday for Alexander Castro , who was driving home from the driving range after having several beers in the summer of 2022 when he rear-ended a woman, killing her. He now sits in a Bexar County courtroom as he faces a manslaughter charge. Castro’s trial is being held in the 187th District Court , Judge Stephanie Boyd presiding. If convicted of manslaughter, Castro could face up to 22 years in prison.
San Antonio man on the run 8 years gets 35-year term in 2015 killing In an opening statement, Prosecutor Daniel Escobar told the jury that roadway evidence revealed that Castro was driving over 90 miles per hour without breaking before crashing into Seybert. They believe Castro got behind the wheel after drinking several beers and rear-ended Seybert, killing her.
