The 30th annual Lake Houston Christmas Boat Parade will have dozens of entries decked out with beautiful Christmas lights. The parade begins Saturday at 5:52 p.m. and can be viewed at numerous locations around the lake.Santa normally travels on a sleigh, but did you know he's delivering good cheer to residents along the banks of Lake Houston in a boat? He is this Saturday.
Roger Randall, who has been organizing the parade for the last 12 years is hopeful the cold front expected this weekend will cooperate.“We’ll have our eyes on the forecast on Friday night and with fingers crossed, hope that we get some good luck,” Randall said. “In the past we did a toy drive, but with a tough economy, we decided to focus on helping put food on the table for families,” he said.For Randall, he loves the shimmer and reflection of the lights off the lake that is stunning.
