Sanger is asking voters to consider ending the Sanger Industrial Development Corporation and creating a municipal develoipment district.
Polls are open on Election Day from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. If you're in line at 7 p.m., you will be allowed to vote.

The Town of Sanger is asking voters to consider ending the Sanger Industrial Development Corporation and associated 0.50% sales and use tax and creating the Sanger Municipal Development District, funded by a 0.50% sales and use tax. The creation of the development district is contingent upon voters terminating the development corporation and vice versa.The purpose of the development district is to finance development projects beneficial to the district.
'The termination of the Sanger Industrial Development Corporation, a Type A economic development corporation and local sales and use tax at a rate of one-half of one percent , contingent upon the eligible voters of the proposed Sanger Municipal Development District, which comprises the City of Sanger, Texas, and the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Sanger, Texas, approving a separate ballot proposition authorizing the creation of the Sanger Municipal Development District and the imposition of a sales and use tax at the rate of one-half of one percent for the purpose of financing development projects beneficial to the district.'
