The Sandiganbayan has acquitted a former official of the Bureau of Customs (BOC) for failing to declare in her 2010 Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Networth (SALN) that her husband was a stockholder of a real estate firm.

promulgated on November 11, the Anti-Graft Court dismissed the January 2022 decision of the Manila Regional Trial Court which found Delia Morala guilty beyond reasonable doubt of falsification under Article 171 of the Revised Penal Code, as amended.

In February, Morala was accused of failing to declare that her husband was an incorporator and stockholder of a real estate firm. Morala, for her part, said she was unaware that her husband had become an incorporator as they were already living separately at the time.
