Jadon Sancho is now believed to have made a big U-turn following his public spat with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag.
The 23-year-old has now deleted the statement he posted on social media about two weeks ago, in which he deflected criticism of his attitude in training that had been made by his manager. The decision to remove the post is believed to represent Sancho's desire to find a positive solution to the feud between himself and his boss as talks to resolve the issue continue.
The winger's statement was first published after Ten Hag had explained why he excluded the winger from the squad prior to United's 3-1 defeat to Arsenal On 8 August. "You have to reach a level every day at Manchester United and we can make choices in the front line," the manager said at the time, per Sancho hit back, claiming that he had been made a"scapegoat" and defended his own attitude in training.
"I have conducted myself in training very well this week. I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into, I have been a scapegoat for a long time, which isn't fair!" he wrote on X .
