San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora announced that the city has been recognized by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) for its exemplary performance in local governance and for its children-oriented initiatives.

“Despite the pandemic hitting us hard, we really worked hard to provide exemplary services to our constituents. San Juan City distributed 19 waves of ayuda to make sure none of our constituents went hungry, and we provided tablets to all our public school students plus fiber optic internet connection to all households of our public school students in the city so that no child is left behind in terms of quality education,” Zamora said.
San Juan City also received plaques in the following categories: Functional Local Peace and Order Council, Moderately Functional Anti-Drug Abuse Council, Ideal Functionality Local Committees on Anti-Trafficking and Violence against Women and Children, and, Moderate Compliance in the LGU Compliance Audit for the Manila Bay Cleanup Rehabilitation and Preservation Program.
