San Jose Sharks coach David Quinn: “Sometimes you have to suffer to this extent to change your approach.”

SAN JOSE – The San Jose Sharks have felt for about two weeks now that their game is trending in the right direction, and that they’re doing enough good things to help get their season back on track.

The Sharks had a 1-2-3 record on the homestand in which they lost the last three games in a shootout and had two other regulation time losses in which they were either leading or tied in the third period. Once again, the Sharks committed an inexcusable gaffe Saturday at one of the game’s most critical moments.

Anaheim pulled Stolarz for the extra attacker and Adam Henrique scored the game-tying goal with 1:28 left in the third period. “Sometimes you have to suffer to this extent to change your approach, and that’s really all there was to it,” Quinn said. “Because everybody played well for the most part.
