SAN JOSE — A driver hit and killed a pedestrian Tuesday night on Highway 101 in San Jose, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision was reported at 9:40 p.m. on the northbound transition ramp to Interstate 280-680, said Officer Ross Lee.Two of the three lanes of the transition ramp were closed due to the collision, Lee said.
