A member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors has asked for $50 million for the fiscal year in order to create an 'Office of Reparations' in the city.

Shamann Walton said he wants the city to appropriate $50 million for the project.

According to Walton, he has already requested legislation from the City Attorney's office to create the office under the Human Rights Commission.
