A department of water and power worker on site told CBSLA Investigative Reporter Kristine Lazar that the outage was caused by old equipment combusting
. The mobile home park's management wouldn't talk to Lazar on camera, but told CBSLA it is trying to bring in more generators.
That is bad news for residents like Lisa DeHaven, who lives at the Monterey Manor mobile home park in Mission Hills and has stage 4 cancer. Keith Dehenry is also impacted by the power outage. His wife is on oxygen and is confined to a hospital bed. If he wouldn't have been able to get a hold of a generator, Dehenry and his wife would be in a tough spot.
