The poetry of Gill Sotu is not so much poetry for the page. It’s poetry for the stage.
For the fourth consecutive year, Sotu, who is the San Diego Writers Festival’s poet-in-residence, will kick off that daylong event on Saturday in Coronado with a performance during the opening ceremony at 9:30 a.m. and then a workshop at noon.Column: The San Diego Writers Festival is back with in-person programming and human connectionsAfter the past two years in which the event has been virtual, Sotu is happy to return to an in-person San Diego Writers Festival, the fourth annual.
As always, the festival features author appearances, panels and workshops such as Sotu’s throughout the day. Besides the Coronado Public Library, events will be held on the campus of Coronado High School and at the John D. Spreckels Center.
