After Thursday's destructive winds, the weather pattern will shift and there will be some calm before a storm approaches. FirstAlertForecast

Daytime highs will mostly be in the 60s with a few inland valley locations in the low 70s and mountain communities in the 50s. Skies will be clear, and winds will from the northwest and west, staying mainly below 10 miles per hour.

Looking ahead to the weekend, a coastal eddy could produce some marine layer in the morning hours. Following that, a low-pressure system has to bring cold air and rain over Southern California Sunday and Monday. The system will be showering, but it could also produce snow over the mountains at elevations from 3,000 to 4,000 feet. Following this bout of moisture, conditions will dry out for the remainder of next week as we head into February.
