SAN DIEGO — San Diego Wave FC will play host to OL Reign in an NWSL semifinal at Snapdragon Stadium on Sunday evening, with the winner advancing to Saturday's NWSL Championship, also at Snapdragon Stadium.
The Wave had a league-best 11-7-4 regular-season record and received a quarterfinal bye. OL Reign was fourth with a 9-8-5 record, then defeated fifth-place Angel City FC, 1-0, in a quarterfinal on Oct. 20. The Wave enters the playoffs with a 5-1-1 record in its last seven games, its best record in a seven-game span in the team's two-season history.
