San Diego State released its nonconference men’s basketball schedule, and nothing has changed since parts of it leaked out over the summer.“It must mean I feel pretty good about my job security,” coach Brian Dutcher said in July, “playing this kind of schedule.”The Aztecs announced 12 nonconference games, only five of which are at home . That would give them 30 total with the 18-game Mountain West campaign, one shy of the maximum allowed.
Three games announced Tuesday were not previously confirmed, all at home: Nov. 14 against Long Beach State, Dec. 9 against UC Irvine and Dec. 19 against NAIA Saint Katherine of San Marcos. Grand Canyon kept reminding the Aztecs that they were contractually obligated to come to Phoenix, and they found a spot in this season’s schedule.
