Mayor Gloria, City Council note local women during Women's History Month for making an impact
City officials recognized 10 local women for helping make San Diego a better place, in honor of Women’s History Month.“Their leadership is overcoming challenges and moving our city forward amid some of the most important issues we face,” Gloria said, “environmental sustainability, human rights, growth and development, equity, public health and more. I am grateful for the incredible, selfless service they provide to our community.
Cathy Kenton chairs the Midway-Pacific Highway Community Planning Group and is leading efforts to complete and adopt the 2018 community plan update. Cathy Ramsey has led the Greater Skyline Hills Town Council for several decades and advocated for the new Skyline Hills Library and various other community projects.
Lee Ann Kim was the founding executive director of the Pacific Arts Movement, one of the largest media arts organizations in North America that focuses on Asian American and Asian international cinema.
