San Diego police seek information on spate of weekend shootings — one of them deadly [Breaking]
A weekend of shootings — including one that was fatal in Linda Vista and another in Ridgeview/Webster that injured multiple people — prompted San Diego police to reach out Monday for help from the public for information that could help lead to arrests.
Although police said they have arrested suspects in a few of the incidents — they did not say which ones — the department noted that investigators still need tips and leads as they work to solve all the shootings. A 911 call drew police to Ulric Street near Borroughs Street, where they found a man lying on the ground, police homicide Lt. Steve Shebloski said. A family member was tending to the injured man when officers arrived. The man, whose name has not been released, died before he could be taken to a hospital.
Police said several partygoers heard gunfire on Beech Street near 48th Street around 10:40 p.m. Saturday. The partygoers went outside and found the three victims on a front lawn.
