A man was found dead Saturday afternoon in alley between Greying Drive and Murray Ridge Road, and his cause of death remains under investigation
San Diego police are investigating after a man’s body was left in a Serra Mesa alley over the weekend, a department spokesperson said Monday.
Someone called 911 just before 2:45 p.m. Saturday to report finding a dead man in an alley between Greying Drive and Murray Ridge Road, not far from Jones Elementary School, Lt. Daniel Meyer said.Meyer said it appears that the man died elsewhere, and his body was dumped in the alley. He has not been identified, but investigators believe he was a Latino man in his 30s or 40s.
Little else is known, including where he died and why he was left where he was. Meyer said detectives are combing through physical evidence, trying to find and talk to witnesses, and looking for surveillance footage to glean what they can about the events leading up to his death and why he was left where he was.
