Balboa Park’s House of Puerto Rico is accepting monetary donations to help the thousands of residents in Puerto Rico impacted by Hurricane Fiona’s destructive path.
Until then, San Diegans interested in helping those affected by Hurricane Fiona can make monetary donations via Balboa Park’s House of Puerto Rico. The cottage museum, which is part of the park’s House of Pacific Relations, started a Hurricane Fiona Relief Fund to help those impacted by the storm.
“Funds secured will be sent to the Rotary Clubs of the towns with the severest damages,” the nonprofit’s website says. “As a 501 , your donation will be tax deductible.” A Hurricane Warning is in effect for Puerto Rico, including Vieques and Culebra and the eastern coast of the Dominican Republic from Cabo Caucedo to Cabo Francés Viejo
