San Diego County officials searching for partner to place 'sleeping cabins'

The County Health and Human Services Agency is searching for private organizations to expand emergency housing options for those experiencing homelessness.

SAN DIEGO — San Diego county officials put the word saying they are looking to purchase and place cabins to bring more housing options for those experiencing homelessness.

About 100 shelter cabins will be available to organizations through this program. Each cabin sleeps one to two people. The cabins have storage space, a locking door, and charging outlets. They are also quick and easy to set up.
