San Diego County gas prices drop for 13th time in 14 days. Average price per gallon is now $4.871
SAN DIEGO – The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County dropped Thursday for the 13th time in the last 14 days, decreasing two-tenths of a cent to $4.871.
It is 5.9 cents less than one week ago, 3.7 cents more than one month ago, and $1.097 less than one year ago. The average price has dropped $1.564 since rising to a record $6.435 on Oct. 5, 2022. “The broad concern over recent failures of the U.S. and global banking system has put enough downward pressure on oil prices that we saw a reprieve in rising gasoline prices in the national average last week, but it may be temporary in nature, and is unlikely to be a long lasting trend,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, which provides real- time gas price information from more than 150,000 stations.
