San Diego continues to lead on gun violence restraining orders, state attorney general says [Breaking]
About 31 percent of gun violence restraining orders obtained statewide last year were issued in San Diego County, which continues to be a model for other counties, state Attorney General Rob Bonta said this week.
“Good work is happening here,” Bonta said. “I encourage everyone, from law enforcement to everyday Californians, to take notice.”, when 37 percent of all gun violence restraining orders statewide — 483 — were issued in San Diego County. Elliott said more than 50 cases involved threats of mass shootings at various locations, including schools, hospitals and bars.
